COUNTY BANK OFFERS MONEY MANAGEMENT PRESENTATIONS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS
County Bank officers reach out to local schools each year in April as part of Community Banking Month and throughout the year in conjunction with the American Bankers Association’s “Teach Children to Save" program. They offer presentations to students and local schools on basic money management, the importance of credit, how credit scores work and other banking and financial-management related topics appropriate for the age group.
According to County Bank Vice President of Operations Lucas Meier studies show today’s kids aren't learning the skills they need to make smart financial decisions as adults. That's where local community bankers can help fill the need for learning good financial skills.
County Bank works closely with our local schools to make happen. It's never too early to start teaching kids about money, especially saving money and understanding how credit works. The goal is to teach kids age-appropriate money skills and financial decision-making skills that will be with them into adulthood.
