County Bank Names New Loan Officer in Deep River and Montezuma
County Bank president Tom Bates announced the appointment of Ben Schanbacher as a loan officer. He will be located in the bank’s offices in Deep River and Montezuma.
Schanbacher, who was raised on a diversified grain and family farm in Newhall, Iowa, was previously a loan officer at Northeast Security Bank in Fairbank, Iowa. He most recently worked in the chemical and fertilizer business. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural studies and an agronomy minor.
“We are so pleased to have Ben join vice president Mike Geiger in the Deep River and Montezuma offices,” said Bates. “His background in all phases of livestock and grain operation and his experience as an ag loan officer are great assets for our bank and these communities.”
“I am so happy to be back in banking and look forward to working in the Deep River and Montezuma area,” said Schanbacher. “Being a part of the County Bank lending team gives me the opportunity to combine my ag and business background with my banking experience to offer my customers a partnership with their bank.”
Schanbacher resides in Montezuma with his wife, Lindsey, a teacher in the Montezuma Community School District.
