County Bank Introduces a New Generation in Banking
“PAT” is County Bank’s Personal Automated Teller. PAT is a marriage of technology and convenience that adds the friendly, helpful service of a personal banker with the speed and convenience of a traditional ATM.
“We know our customers appreciate personal service and might sometimes need or want the assistance of a personal banker,” said Bates. According to Bates, PAT will provide that personal service through secure communications with a personal banker in the bank’s Sigourney-based call center. ”I want to assure our customers they will be communicating directly with a County Bank staff member and not talking to a stranger in another state,” he continued. “This is also helping the local community by creating new jobs locally.”
PAT is available in both drive up and walk up models. The walk up PAT is in the lobby of the bank’s office on the southeast corner of the Square. The newly opened drive up PAT is located east of the bank building and is accessible from Shuffleton Street. County Bank customers will be able to access PAT without a debit card for personal banker assisted transactions and both customers and non-customers can use PAT as a traditional ATM. County Bank’s ATM at the junction of Hwys. 92 and 149 (North Main Street) will continue in operation. County Bank will also have PAT locations in Montezuma and Williamsburg.
“With the opening of our drive up PAT, County Bank’s drive up window will be closed,” announced County Bank operations manager Lucas Meier. “However, our hours of personally assisted service will be longer than our current drive up and lobby hours. To kick-off PAT, week-day hours will be available from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday and until 5:30 on Friday with regular Saturday 8:30 am until noon hours. Of course the ATM functions of PAT will continue on a 24/7/365 schedule,” he said.
County Bank staff will greet and assist customers in the new drive up area during the first few weeks introducing PAT to the community. Personal bankers will also be available during regular banking hours (Monday thru Thursday 9 am until 3:00 pm and until 5:30 on Friday) in the bank’s lobby for traditional teller-assisted services and to introduce PAT to walk up customers.
“The introduction of PAT is a real step into the future for our bank and our community,” said County Bank chairman Terry Greenley. “It rounds out our package of electronic banking services including online and mobile banking, commercial remote deposit capture and eStatements. We are vigilant in wanting to keep pace with the services our customers ask for and we see PAT as an important component of that package.”
County Bank is a locally owned community bank headquartered in Sigourney. Other locations are in Deep River, Gibson, Montezuma and Williamsburg.
